We only say what we can stand behind.
Ingredient standards and claims policy. What goes into a DrWhiten tube, what is deliberately left out, and the rules we apply before any claim reaches a page.
Formulated with care
Every DrWhiten formula is built around actives that have a job to do — and nothing that does not. Our Safe Whitening toothpaste pairs nHAp (nano-hydroxyapatite) with PAP (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid): two well-studied actives that whiten without peroxide.
However many formulas we make, the standard does not move: no peroxide, ever.
What is not in the tube
- No peroxide. Not hydrogen peroxide, not carbamide peroxide, at any concentration. This is the single ingredient decision the whole range is built around.
- No fluoride. A deliberate choice, not an omission — if you prefer a fluoride toothpaste, we say so plainly on our product pages and suggest you talk to your dentist about alternating.
- Low-abrasion, enamel-considerate. We do not use harsh abrasives to polish stains off the surface, because that route removes enamel along with the stain.
- No filler actives. If an ingredient is in the tube, it has a stated reason to be there.
Our claims policy
We do not make therapeutic claims. DrWhiten products are cosmetics: they clean and they whiten. They are not drugs, and we do not say they treat, cure or prevent any condition.
We do not state a specific number of shades unless that number is backed by testing we can show you. Where results are described on this site, they are typical experiences rather than guarantees — individual results vary with the stains you start with and how consistently you brush.
Where we cite research, we cite it with its limits attached. Our research section grades the evidence and names the studies, including the ones that show PAP is gentler than peroxide rather than faster.

How this page is maintained
This policy is owned by the DrWhiten formulation team, the same people who develop the formulas. It is reviewed whenever a formula, an ingredient source or a published claim changes — not on a calendar.
If you think something here is inaccurate, out of date or missing context, email [email protected] and we will correct it and note the change.
