DrWhiten
Editorial Standards

Teeth are health, not just cosmetics.

Anything we publish about them should be held to a higher standard than a typical brand blog. Here is exactly how our content is made — and what we refuse to do.

Who writes it

Our content is written and reviewed by the DrWhiten formulation team — the same people who develop our formulas. The team brings two decades of hands-on formulation and production experience in oral care: toothpaste, strips and sprays.

We are not dentists, and we do not pretend to be. What we have is formulation and production experience, and we stay inside that lane.

Where our information comes from

Every factual claim on this site is grounded in publicly available research. We draw on:

  • NIH / PubMed — the US National Library of Medicine research database
  • American Dental Association (ADA) — consumer guidance and scientific statements
  • Peer-reviewed dental journals — including the Journal of Dentistry and the Journal of Clinical Dentistry

We link to our sources so you can read them yourself and check our work. Our research section lists the studies behind the nHAp and PAP claims on this site, with the evidence grade attached.

What we do not do

We do not give medical advice. Our content is educational. If you have tooth pain, ongoing discomfort, bleeding gums or any dental concern, see a dentist — not a toothpaste blog.

We do not claim to treat, cure or prevent any condition. DrWhiten products are cosmetics. They clean and whiten; they are not drugs and they do not treat disease.

We do not use endorsements we have not earned. We do not claim dentist approval or clinical endorsement that we do not hold.

We do not publish numbers we cannot stand behind. If we state a specific result or concentration, it comes from testing we can show you. Until then, we describe how something works instead of quoting a figure.

Our bias, stated plainly

We make and sell DrWhiten products, so we have an obvious interest in you buying them. We would rather say that out loud than dress our content up as neutral journalism. When we mention our own products, we explain what they do and what is in them — then leave the decision to you.

Corrections

If anything we have published is inaccurate, out of date or missing context, email [email protected]. We will correct it and note the change.

For ingredient-level rules and our claims policy, see Trust & Standards.
